Buni, a four-month-old stray puppy, was recently brought to CGS with severe abdominal distress, including vomiting and diarrhea. An X-ray revealed a foreign object, a baby bottle nipple lodged in the intestines, causing a dangerous blockage. The CGS doctors quickly operated to remove the object which had already damaged the intestinal lining. Buni responded well and began recovering on a liquid diet. However, a week later, the symptoms returned. An ultrasound revealed a severe case of intussusception, a life-threatening condition where part of the intestine slides into an adjacent section. Buni was rushed into emergency surgery. The CGS surgical team not only resolved the issue but also implemented preventive measures to avoid future complications. Now, one month later, Buni is recovering well and growing stronger each day.
