"CGS Hospital was the proud sponsor of The Annual conference of The Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery (ISVS) held at Hisar from 14th to 16th Nov. 2019. Veterinary surgeons from different parts of India and a few practicing in Mauritius, Malaysia, etc. had participated in the event. Three veterinary surgeons from our hospital, Dr. Samar Mahendran, Dr. Vikash Singh Chauhan and I had participated in the event. We presented clinical cases in the technical sessions of Small Animal Surgery, Orthopaedics, Radiology and Imaging. The work carried out by Dr. Shriram pertaining to surgical management of glaucoma in canines was awarded the Gold Medal in the Small Animal Ophthalmology session. Out of the two posters showcased in the Small animal poster session, we bagged the Appreciation Award for our poster highlighting the Importance of Computed Tomography in the diagnosis of long bone neoplasia in canines. Awareness about CGS Hospital facilities was created among students, faculty, participants, and guests. Dr. Mahendran was inducted into the ISVS Committee for the coming year."
