Qualification: Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry (BVSc & AH) (Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University)
Skills:
- Proficient in performing and assisting with blood transfusions for animals, including blood type identification, preparation of donor and recipient animals.
- Gained experience in assisting with dialysis treatments for animals with kidney failure, including setting up equipment, monitoring vitals and ensuring safety of animal during the procedure.
- Assisted various major and minor surgical procedures like fractures, Rumenotomy, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethrostomy, Ear Haemotoma, Ovarian Hysterectomy, Castration etc.
- Adept in providing Emergency medical care and stabilizing critical animals.
- A good hand in laboratory tests such as blood work, fecal samples, cytology etc to diagnose diseases.
- Ability to interpret ECGs, Radiographs, and Ultrasounds to assess various diseases in animals
Experience:
- Proficient in diagnosing and treating a variety of animal diseases and conditions, using clinical assessments, laboratory tests, and imagining techniques.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs, dosage and treatment regimens for range of species.
- Skilled in performing physical exams, assessing animal health, condition, and formulating treatment plans based on symptoms, history and diagnosis.
- Ability to communicate effectively with pet owners, livestock farmers and other personals, providing clear explanation of treatment plans, preventive care, and animal health management.
- Experience working in a team, mentoring junior staff and fostering a cooperative work environment.
- Worked in all veterinary diagnostic labs like pathology, microbiology, parasitology, nutrition as well as public health.
- Worked as an intern at the government veterinary polyclinic, Ludhiana and assisted in clinical practices
- Worked as an intern at DGCN, College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, CSKHPKV, Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, and Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir, Srinagar, J&K (India).
